Beer Can House

The Beer Can House is a folk-art house in Houston's Heights where owner John Milkovisch covered the exterior, yard fixtures, and fencing with beer cans, flattened aluminum, and other metal objects. Milkovisch began altering the house in the late 1960s and over time attached tens of thousands of cans and bottle caps. The property is a documented example of recycled-material folk art in Houston and is open for public visits and tours.
