Omar Hayat Mahal, also known as Gulzar Manzil, is a stunning early 20th-century wooden haveli located in Chiniot, Pakistan. Constructed between 1923 and 1935 by Sheikh Omar Hayat, a businessman who returned to his hometown to create a magnificent palace, the mansion showcases exquisite local woodworking craftsmanship and Mughal architectural influences. Despite its rich history, including the tragic death of Sheikh Omar's son shortly after his wedding, the mansion has faced periods of abandonment and disrepair. Today, it serves as a cultural center and library, offering visitors a glimpse into the grandeur of its past while promoting local heritage and education.
