Fiji Sanatan Society of Alberta

The Fiji Sanatan Society of Alberta, also known as Vishnu Mandir, is a prominent Hindu temple located in Edmonton, Canada, established in 1984 by early Fijian Hindu immigrants. It serves as a cultural hub for the Fijian Hindu community, which has been growing in Edmonton since the 1960s. The temple hosts daily rituals and a variety of religious ceremonies, including Shiva Pooja, Hanuman Pooja, and Maha Lakshmi Pooja, alongside major festivals like Diwali and Navratri. With approximately 600 followers, the temple features a diverse array of deities, including Vishnu, Lakshmi, and Shiva, and has undergone significant renovations to accommodate its growing congregation, making it the second largest Hindu temple in Edmonton.
