Texas Theatre (site of Lee Harvey Oswald's arrest)

The Texas Theatre opened in 1931 as a neighborhood movie palace in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. On November 22, 1963, police apprehended Lee Harvey Oswald inside the theater following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The building has since been preserved as a historic neighborhood cinema and hosts film screenings and community events.
