Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park granite map and interpretive installations

Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park, opened in 1996 to commemorate Tennessee's bicentennial, functions as an outdoor history museum with interpretive panels and memorial installations. The park includes a large granite map of Tennessee that depicts the state's rivers, major cities and county seats. The site also features a carillon and several memorials that are presented as permanent public-installation elements illustrating Tennessee history.
