U.S. Department of Justice - CCIPS and computer crime prosecutions

The U.S. Department of Justice headquarters at 950 Pennsylvania Avenue NW houses the Criminal Division components that lead federal policy and prosecutions for computer crime. The Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS) within the Criminal Division provides guidance, coordinates prosecutions of computer intrusions and intellectual property theft, and works with U.S. Attorneys and federal investigative agencies on cybercrime cases. CCIPS has been a primary DOJ office for shaping legal approaches to computer-related offenses.
