Dundalk Courthouse

Dundalk Courthouse, located in County Louth, Ireland, is a historic judicial facility completed in 1819, designed in a neoclassical style by architects Edward Parke and John Bowden. The building features a striking symmetrical façade with a grand hexastyle portico supported by Doric columns, inspired by the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens. Originally serving as a courthouse, it also functioned as the meeting place for Louth County Council until 2000. After a period of disrepair, it underwent extensive refurbishment and was reopened in 2003, making it a notable landmark for visitors interested in architecture and local history.
