Garten Verein Pavilion

The Garten Verein Pavilion, located in Galveston, Texas, is a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally the homestead of financier Robert Mills, it was transformed in 1876 by the Galveston Garten-Verein, a German social club, into a meeting hall featuring a bowling alley. In 1879, a dance pavilion was added, possibly designed by local architect John Moser. By 1895, the area was beautifully landscaped, offering various recreational activities such as tennis and croquet, making it a charming destination for visitors interested in history and culture.
