Friendship Fountain (St. Johns River waterfront)

Friendship Fountain is a large public fountain on the St. Johns River that opened in 1965 and became a prominent civic landmark in Jacksonville. At the time of its construction it was notable for its scale and was often described as one of the larger municipal fountains in the United States. The fountain sits on the downtown riverfront and has been the subject of later restoration and maintenance efforts as part of riverfront revitalization.
