Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park (Fort Nashborough replica & Tennessee memorials)

Bicentennial Capitol Mall Park, along James Robertson Parkway, was dedicated in 1996 to commemorate Tennessee's bicentennial and features a full-scale replica of the 1780s Fort Nashborough, the 200-foot granite map of Tennessee, and multiple memorials including the World War II and Korean War monuments. The park and its interpretive installations draw visitors interested in Tennessee history and genealogy who travel specifically to view primary monuments and the adjacent Tennessee State Capitol grounds. Its centrally located pathways and interpretive signage were designed to convey statewide history and are a regular destination for educational visits and commemorative observances. The park is managed by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and the Tennessee Historical Commission.
