Green-Evans House

The Green-Evans House is a historic mansion located in Lynchburg, Tennessee, built in 1858 for Townsend Port Green and his large family. This Greek Revival architectural gem has significant historical ties, including connections to the American Civil War, with two of Green's sons serving in the Confederate Army. The house was later owned by Daniel S. Evans, a local saloon keeper. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
