Louisville Glassworks

Located in the historic Snead Building at 815 W. Market St., Louisville Glassworks offers a unique glimpse into the world of glass art. This multi-use facility features two working glass studios, a Walk-In Workshop, and guided tours by appointment. The building has a rich history, dating back to the late 19th century when it was part of Louisville's vibrant glass manufacturing scene. Although the original Louisville Glassworks closed in 2012, the site now houses Flame Run Glass Studio and Gallery, the Mark Payton Glass Center, and other creative enterprises. Visitors can explore one of the largest privately owned hot glass studios in the U.S. and enjoy a nationally recognized gallery showcasing global glass artists.
