Admiral Gjeddes Gård

Admiral Gjeddes Gård, located in the Old Town of Copenhagen, is an 18th-century building that serves as a unique event venue. Originally known as Kanslergården, it was named after Admiral Ove Gjedde, although the current structure was built after the devastating Copenhagen Fire of 1728. The site has a rich history, having transitioned through various owners, including notable figures such as vice chancellors and physicians. In the 20th century, it was restored by art dealer Eddie Salicath, who renamed it and opened Holbergsalen for cultural events. Today, it stands as a testament to Copenhagen's architectural evolution and is a vibrant space for literary and social gatherings.
