FBI Strategic Information and Operations Center (SIOC)

The J. Edgar Hoover Building contains the FBI's Strategic Information and Operations Center (SIOC), a secure below-grade operations center used for crisis management, intelligence monitoring, and coordination with other agencies. The SIOC was expanded after the September 11, 2001 attacks to serve as a 24/7 hub for urgent investigations and emergency response. Its existence and function have been documented in official FBI materials and reporting.
