Las Vegas Springs (Springs Preserve)

The Springs Preserve preserves the site of the historic Las Vegas Springs, an oasis that provided water and plant resources historically used for thousands of years by Southern Paiute (Nuwuvi) people. Archaeological and ethnographic records identify the springs and surrounding wetlands as seasonal camps and travel stops for Native people prior to urban development. The Springs Preserve campus includes interpretive exhibits and displays about Southern Paiute history and lifeways in the Las Vegas Valley.
