Great Northern Tunnel (King Street Station portal)

The Great Northern Tunnel was completed in 1905 by the Great Northern Railway to bring rail lines under downtown Seattle and alleviate surface congestion. The tunnel remains a key rail artery beneath the city and connects with tracks serving King Street Station.
