Death of Nancy Spungen at the Chelsea Hotel

Nancy Spungen was found dead from a stab wound in room 100 of the Chelsea Hotel on October 12, 1978. The discovery was made at the hotel's address and her boyfriend, musician Sid Vicious, was arrested and charged; the circumstances of her death have been disputed and no one was conclusively convicted before Vicious's death. The case remains one of the most notorious and debated deaths associated with the Chelsea Hotel.
