Vestergade 33

Vestergade 33 is a historic Neoclassical building located near City Hall Square in Copenhagen, Denmark. Constructed between 1795 and 1796, it was originally built for grocer Ole Schou after the devastating Copenhagen Fire of 1795. The building has a rich history, having housed notable figures such as Carl Edvard Rotwitt, a Supreme Court Attorney and former Prime Minister of Denmark. In 1907, it was renovated by architect Gotfred Tvede to serve as the headquarters for the engineering company FLSmidth. The building was listed as a protected site in 1959, highlighting its architectural significance, although it was unlisted in 2017. Today, it stands as a testament to Copenhagen's historical and architectural heritage, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
