Alum Rock Park-documented Native American archaeological features

Alum Rock Park contains documented archaeological resources associated with Native American (Ohlone) use of the landscape, including bedrock mortars and other surface features recorded by surveys. Park management and regional cultural resource studies note these features as evidence of pre-contact and historic-period Indigenous activities in the area. Archaeological monitoring and surveys have been used to identify and protect these cultural resources within the park.
