Duo (shopping mall)

Duo, originally known as Hervantakeskus, is a prominent shopping center located in Hervanta, Tampere, Finland. Opened in 1979 and designed by renowned architects Raili and Reima Pietilä, the mall features a unique blend of architectural styles reminiscent of European market halls and department stores. With a total retail space of 11,700 square meters, it houses major grocery stores like Lidl, S-market, and K-Supermarket, alongside restaurants and specialty shops. An extension completed in 2007 doubled its size, enhancing its appeal as a shopping destination. The center is part of a significant architectural axis in Hervanta, aimed at transforming the area's concrete landscape into a vibrant commercial hub.
