Elfreth's Alley Museum

Elfreth's Alley is a block of 18th-century rowhouses in Old City often described as the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the United States. The Elfreth's Alley Museum at 124 Elfreth's Alley interprets domestic life of early Philadelphia through period rooms, exhibits, and guided tours. The narrow cobblestone lane and preserved houses are set behind more prominent Independence-area attractions, giving the alley a tucked-away character. The site hosts seasonal programs and an annual house tour that highlights private residences.
