13th Regiment Armory

The 13th Regiment Armory, built between 1892 and 1894 in Brooklyn, New York, is a historic structure designed by architect Rudolph L. Daus. Located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, it now serves as the Pamoja House, a men's homeless shelter managed by Black Veterans for Social Justice. Originally constructed for military use, the armory faced significant budget overruns and design issues, leading to its eventual deactivation in 1974. Over the years, it has hosted various civilian events and was repurposed as a shelter in the late 1980s.
