Ackins House

The Ackins House, built around 1880, was a notable historic house located in Floyd, Arkansas. This 1+1⁄2-story timber-framed structure featured a central hall plan and a distinctive hip-roofed porch supported by turned posts. It was recognized for its preservation as one of the few early houses remaining in White County and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Unfortunately, it has since been recorded as destroyed, marking the loss of a significant piece of local history.
