Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University

Founded in 1812, the Academy of Natural Sciences is one of the oldest natural history institutions in the Americas and has long been a center for scientific research and public education. Its museum on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway houses permanent collections and exhibits, including the Hadrosaurus foulkii mount, historically notable as an early mounted dinosaur skeleton in the United States. The Academy continues to maintain scientific collections and hosts educational programs.
