Detroit Opera House (restored historic theatre)

Opened in 1922 as the Capitol Theatre and designed by architect C. Howard Crane, the building was later renamed and restored to become the Detroit Opera House. It serves as the home venue for Michigan Opera Theatre and regularly hosts touring Broadway productions, concerts, and civic events. A major restoration in the 1990s returned much of the theatre's ornate interior detail and historic character.
