Beti Jai fronton

The Beti Jai fronton, located in Madrid, Spain, is a historic sports venue that dates back to 1894. Designed by architect Joaquín Rucoba, it is the last surviving 19th-century Basque pelota fronton in the city. After its last game in 1919, the venue served various purposes, including a police station and a repair shop for Citroën. In 2011, it was declared a cultural heritage site and underwent extensive renovations, completed in 2019. The fronton features a unique blend of architectural styles, including Neo-Mudéjar and eclectic designs, and boasts a grandstand capacity of 4,000, making it a significant landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in sports history and architecture.
