Bottle House of Ganja

The Bottle House, located in Ganja, Azerbaijan, is a unique two-storey residence constructed between 1966 and 1967 by Ibrahim Jafarov using 48,000 glass bottles of various shapes and sizes, along with colorful stones from Sochi. This remarkable building serves as a tribute to Jafarov's brother, who went missing during World War II. The house features decorative elements including a portrait of his brother, notes about the 1980s Olympic Games in the USSR, and the historic name 'Ganja' crafted from bottle bottoms. Recently reconstructed, the Bottle House has become a popular attraction for both locals and tourists, showcasing an innovative blend of art and personal history.
