Queen City Landing

Queen City Landing was an ambitious residential skyscraper project proposed for Buffalo's Outer Harbor, aiming to provide approximately 200 apartment units in a 20-story building. Initially designed to be the 6th-tallest building in Buffalo, the project faced environmental concerns from local activists regarding its impact on bird migration near Tifft Nature Preserve. Despite legal challenges, the project progressed with modifications, including a reduced height and footprint. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and funding issues, the development was suspended indefinitely in 2020, ultimately leading to its cancellation. This site reflects the ongoing challenges and aspirations of urban development in Buffalo.
