Ferry Building Marketplace and Farmers Market

The San Francisco Ferry Building opened in 1898 and its clock tower was modeled on the Giralda bell tower in Seville. After a major renovation the building reopened in 2003 as the Ferry Building Marketplace featuring shops and restaurants. The Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, established in 1993, operates at the building and is a prominent regional market for Bay Area producers.
