Green Duke House

The Green Duke House is a historic plantation house located in Soul City, North Carolina, built around 1800 in Georgian style and later remodeled in the post-Victorian style around 1900. This two-story, five-bay frame dwelling features a hipped roof and striking one-story porches adorned with elaborate Ionic columns. Named after early landowner Duke and his wife Green, the house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974 and was being utilized as a day care center at the time of its listing, making it a unique blend of history and community use.
