Fair Park Art Deco Exposition Buildings

Fair Park contains a large, cohesive collection of Art Deco exposition buildings constructed for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition. The complex is one of the most significant assemblies of 1930s Art Deco architecture in the United States and is designated a National Historic Landmark. Many pavilions at Fair Park feature terra-cotta ornamentation, bas-relief sculpture, and stylized Deco motifs tied to the centennial celebration.
