Shotwell Hall, West Liberty State College

Shotwell Hall, also known as Fraternity Hall, is a historic dormitory at West Liberty University in West Virginia, designed by architect Frederick F. Faris and completed in 1937 as part of a Public Works Administration project. This Colonial Revival style building features distinctive architectural elements such as a broken pediment doorway and pedimented gable ends. Originally serving as a men's dormitory, it now accommodates faculty offices. Named after Nathan Shotwell, the first president of West Liberty Academy, Shotwell Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and education in the region.
