West Washington Street Pumping Station

The West Washington Street Pumping Station, built in 1870 in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a historic site that served as the city's primary water pumping facility until 1890. This one-story brick building features distinctive architectural elements, including a slate hipped roof and arched openings. Originally part of the Water Works Company, it utilized the nearby Indiana Central Canal for power.
