Geisel Library (UC San Diego)

Geisel Library, designed by architect William Pereira and completed in 1970, is the central library of the University of California, San Diego and is widely cited as an iconic example of late-modernist architecture. The building was renamed the Geisel Library in 1995 in honor of Audrey and Theodor Seuss Geisel (Dr. Seuss) following their philanthropic support. Its distinctive concrete-and-glass structure and elevated reading rooms make it a noted campus landmark.
