Alfred Horatio Belo House

The Alfred Horatio Belo House, located at 2115 Ross Avenue in Dallas, Texas, is a historic mansion built circa 1900 for Colonel Alfred Horatio Belo, a Confederate veteran and founder of The Dallas Morning News. Designed in the Neoclassical architectural style by Herbert M. Greene, the mansion remained in the Belo family until 1977, when it was acquired by the Dallas Bar Association. After restoration, it now serves as a venue for weddings and corporate events. The mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and was renamed the Arts District Mansion in 2021, reflecting a shift away from its Confederate ties.
