Elfreth's Alley - oldest continuously inhabited residential street

Elfreth's Alley dates to 1702 and is widely described as the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the United States. Number 124 Elfreth's Alley is operated as the Elfreth's Alley Museum and interprets 18th- and 19th-century daily life. The narrow cobblestone street contains historic rowhouses that reflect the area's artisan and merchant heritage and is open for guided tours and an annual house tour.
