Peter and Oliver Tufts House

The Peter and Oliver Tufts House, built around 1714, is one of the oldest structures in Somerville, Massachusetts, located in the historic Winter Hill neighborhood. This 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house features a gambrel roof and has significant historical ties, having served as headquarters for General Charles Lee during the siege of Boston. The Tufts family, prominent in the local brickyard industry in the 19th century, owned the house for generations. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
