Blue Bonnet Court

The Blue Bonnet Court, originally known as the Bluebonnet Tourist Camp, is a historic motor court-style motel located in north-central Austin, Texas. Established in 1929, it was strategically built along Guadalupe Street, the main route connecting Austin to Dallas, and near the Austin State Hospital. The motel features a stone wall and 11 basic rooms, which are now rented as efficiency apartments. Notably, it boasts Austin's first neon sign from the 1930s, adding to its historical charm. The Blue Bonnet Court was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990, making it a significant site for tourists and researchers interested in the history of Austin's hospitality industry.
