Wenzil Taylor Building

The Wenzil Taylor Building, a historic site in Spillville, Iowa, was constructed in 1871 as a general merchandise store and is the last remaining commercial structure from that era. This two-story Italianate style building features distinctive brick arches, limestone keystones, and a bracketed cornice added during its 1980s restoration. After serving various purposes, including a residence, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and now operates as a restaurant and inn, making it a unique destination for tourists and researchers interested in local history.
