Beer Can House

The Beer Can House is a folk-art house in Houston covered in flattened beer cans, bottle caps, and other recycled materials as the result of decades of work by owner John Milkovisch beginning in the late 1960s. Milkovisch transformed both the exterior walls and much of the yard into sculptural surfaces; the site was later donated to the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art. The house is preserved as an example of Texas vernacular folk art and is open to visitors on scheduled tours.
