Texas Theatre (site of Oswald's arrest)

The Texas Theatre is the historic movie theater where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested on November 22, 1963, following President John F. Kennedy's assassination. Opened in 1931, the theater later operated as an independent cinema showing classic, repertory, and independent films. Local preservation efforts have restored the venue and it continues to host screenings, special events, and community programs.
