Havana Convention Center

The Palacio de las Convenciones, inaugurated in 1979, is Cuba's largest convention center and a key venue for international diplomacy and national political events. Designed by architect Antonio Quintana Simonetti, it reflects functional modernism and is equipped with approximately fifteen conference halls and a main auditorium that can seat over 2,200 people. The center has hosted significant events, including the VI and XIV Summits of the Non-Aligned Movement, and serves as the permanent seat of Cuba's National Assembly. Recently, it has undergone modernization efforts to enhance its facilities while preserving its architectural integrity, making it an essential site for both tourists and researchers interested in Cuba's political and cultural landscape.
