Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial (Tidal Basin)

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial, dedicated in 1997, occupies approximately 7.5 acres along the Tidal Basin and is organized into four outdoor 'rooms' representing each of FDR's presidential terms. The site features sculptures, waterfalls, and engraved quotations from Roosevelt's speeches and writings that interpret his leadership during the Great Depression and World War II. It is a major focal point of the Tidal Basin area and is commonly visited during the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
