Tenney Building

The Tenney Building, a historic office structure located at 110 E. Main Street in Madison, Wisconsin, was constructed between 1929 and 1930 and is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places. This ten-story Art Deco building features a striking limestone exterior with a granite base, and its design includes elegant details such as fluted pilasters and bronze light fixtures. The building's lobby is adorned with marble, adding to its historical charm. Originally built to replace the Italianate Tenney Block, it has a rich history tied to the Tenney family, prominent local lawyers. Despite challenges during the Great Depression, the building has remained a significant site for professional offices and underwent a major renovation in 1985.
