Ball and Roller Bearing Company

The Ball and Roller Bearing Company, located in Danbury, Connecticut, is a historic industrial complex recognized for its significant contributions to manufacturing in the early 20th century. Notably, it was the site where Lewis Heim invented the modern grinding machine, transforming the production of machine parts. The complex, which includes a Queen Anne-style home and a brick factory, was established by Joseph Nutt in 1886 and later expanded by the Heim brothers.
