De Coninck House

The De Coninck House, located at Store Kongensgade 72 in central Copenhagen, is a historic building dating back to the 1790s. Named after merchant Frédéric de Coninck, it was constructed on the former garden of the Moltke Mansion. The architecture, traditionally attributed to Joseph-Jacques Ramée, features two storeys and a walk-out basement, with a distinctive eight-bay front. Over the years, the house has been home to notable figures, including de Coninck's family and surgeon Christian Fenger, who divided the large apartment into smaller units. The building reflects the rich history of Copenhagen and was officially listed in 1918, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Danish architectural heritage.
