Presidio Officers' Club (historic military social center)

The Presidio was established by Spain in 1776 and operated as a U.S. Army post from 1846 until its closure in 1994; the Presidio Officers' Club occupies one of the site's historic buildings and served as a social and administrative center for military officers. The club building has been preserved and now functions as a museum and cultural venue interpreting the Presidio’s military and civilian history. The site is part of the Presidio of San Francisco, which contains multiple 19th- and early-20th-century military infrastructure elements.
