Peralta Adobe - original pueblo town lot

Peralta Adobe, built in 1797, is the oldest surviving building in San Jose and sits on one of the original town lots of El Pueblo de San José de Guadalupe. The adobe occupies the footprint of the early pueblo plaza area and appears on 19th-century town plats and maps that documented the original lot layout. The site is interpreted as part of the documented urban survey and subdivision history of early San Jose.
