Suffolk County House of Correction (South Bay Correctional Facility)

The Suffolk County House of Correction, commonly called South Bay, is a county jail operated by the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department and is a secured correctional facility. Inmate housing units, intake, medical wards, and evidence storage areas are restricted to authorized staff and pre-approved visitors who must pass security screening and follow visitation procedures. Access to the facility’s operational areas is controlled and regulated under correctional policies and state law.
