The Lauder Greenway Estate, now known as Copper Beech Farm, is a stunning 50-acre property in Greenwich, Connecticut, featuring a grand French Renaissance mansion. Originally built in 1896 for industrialist John Hamilton Gourlie, it became the most expensive home in the U.S. at one point. The estate was purchased by the Lauder Greenway family in 1905, who expanded the mansion and donated significant land to the community, including a popular beach. The estate boasts a 15,000 square foot main house with luxurious amenities, extensive gardens, and waterfront access, making it a remarkable example of Gilded Age architecture.
